Under the shimmering sun of the Persian Gulf, the very best of the yachting world comes together every year. From futuristic superyachts to sustainable maritime innovations – the Dubai International Boat Show is the meeting place for the top of the global watersports industry.

For our 8 Event Freight team, this meant just one thing: pull out all the stops. On behalf of our client, we transported 8,000 kilos of high-value materials to Dubai by air freight – right on time for the build-up of a spectacular exhibition stand.

✈️ Air freight under pressure – timing is everything

At an event of this calibre, there is no room for delays. That’s why we opted for a direct air freight solution, including:

• Full control from pick-up to final delivery at Dubai Harbour
• Pre-arranged customs documentation
• Non-stop tracking and personal monitoring
• Escorting the shipment to the stand

The cargo included premium presentation materials, display systems, lighting equipment and flooring structures – fragile and valuable.

At the same time, we arranged sea freight for the larger items:

• One 40 ft container with flooring panels, construction parts and furniture
• Early departure to build in margin for customs and local handling
• Coordination with carrier, port authorities and local agents
• Precise delivery on site – right on the designated time slot

By combining air and sea freight smartly, we optimized both speed and cost-efficiency.

In Dubai, we worked closely with our local handling agent and the exhibition team. Within hours of arrival, everything was unloaded, checked and delivered exactly to the designated location.
